The central location of The Guesthouse makes it a perfect base from which to explore the beautiful and historic Dolphin Coast/North Coast of KwaZulu Natal, including towns such as Ballito, Shaka's Rock, Salt Rock, Umhlali and Sheffield Beach. Relax in our colonial-style home set in a tranquil lush garden, full of indigenous trees & shrubs, with an abundant bird life. The Guesthouse offers ample secure off-road parking.

Our Ballito accommodation offers attractions such as the main beach and tidal pools, which are just a short walk away. The beach also provides some good fishing spots and there are beautiful reefs offshore, which will give divers hours of enjoyment. You can also choose to visit one or all of the four
magnificent golf courses which are just a "chip and putt"
by car from our front door.

...The name, Shaka's Rock, originates from the rock where
King Shaka reputedly used to march his soldiers off (to their deaths) to show how loyal and disciplined they were. Today
it is a favourite fishing spot for local fishermen.

With five comfortable, individually decorated bedrooms
(all en-suite) and one self-catering unit (all bedrooms have ceiling fans), The Guesthouse is a family home with stylish finishes and an immaculate attention to detail.

Directions

Coming from Durban in the South or the Umfolozi or Hluhlwe Game Parks in the North, take the Shaka's Rock glide-off (exit 212), turn right over the bridge and travel for about 2,5km. Take the first turn left into Ipahla Lane and immediately left again into our driveway.
