The Bungalows, designed in the African rondavel style with artistically constructed lofty thatched roofs, provide absolute privacy in exquisite and harmonious surroundings. Reclining on the verandah and enjoying the view over the river with its water flowing gently around rocks and islands, is sheer magic

The Cottage, lovingly and tastefully furnished, has a fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable living/dining room and two bedrooms, accommodating four people. It is built amongst natural rocks and indigenous trees. In the evenings one can sometimes watch the bush babies jumping from tree to tree, calling each other in their baby-like voices.

Directions

From Johannesburg take the N12 east to Witbank where you will join the N4 to Nelspruit. At Nelspruit you turn left onto R40 to White River and Hazyview - or, if you prefer the more scenic route, you leave the N4 at Belfast go onto the R540 via Dullstroom and Lydenburg. There take the R37 over the Long Tom Pass to Sabie and then onto R536 to Hazyview. From the R40 turn-off at Hippo Hollow follow the romantic and sometimes even adventurous small farmers gravel road over the little bridge of the Sabie River for 2.4km to reach Jackalberry Farm & Lodge.
