Welcome to the Estuary Country Hotel. Located on Kwa-Zulu Natal South Coast just a few kilometres short of Port Edward and a few sandy steps from the Idyllic Silver Beach. The Estuary Country Hotel was originally built in 1941 as a Manor House in the Cape-Dutch style for a wealthy family. It has been cautiously transformed into a beautiful and private Hotel, Restaurant, Spa & conference centre. Its genuine design and harmony of proportions, immediately reflects the work of a master builder.

With breathtaking views of the sea and estuary, great food, luxurious bedrooms, direct beach access and the Day Spa ready to pamper you, make for an unforgettable stay. The Honeymoon Escape has been designed as a 2 night break but if you want to stay for longer this can be arranged.

    Night 1
    • On arrival at the Estuary Hotel after your big day, you will be taken to your honeymoon
    suite where a bottle of chilled champagne will be waiting, along with a bowl of fruit & a box of chocolates
    • A candlelit dinner shall be served on your private balcony

    Day 1, Night 2
    • Breakfast is served in our restaurant
    • You will then enjoy a mid morning Back, Neck & Shoulder massage by our trained therapists in the Spa
    • A packed picnic lunch will be made up for you to take down to the beach or by the swimming pool
    • A romantic dinner to be served in the Fish Eagle Restaurant

    Day 2
    • Breakfast at leisure and depart


    3 Night Honeymoon Escape

    Your honeymoon is a time to relax and unwind after your big day. The Estuary Country Hotel is the perfect place to do this. The Honeymoon Escape has been designed as a 3 night break but if you want to stay for longer this can be arranged.

    Night 1

    Self Catering

    A few steps from the waters edge this self catering unit sleeps 6 people. Main room has a queen size bed with en-suite bathroom (bath & shower) 2nd and 3rd rooms have 2 single beds in each and en-suite bathrooms (shower only). All rooms and lounge are air conditioned and have DSTV. The kitchen is fully fitted with all necessary items including a washing machine, tumble drier, and dishwasher. Automated garage for 2 cars with parking for another 2.

    Daily maid service can be arranged on request. The unit is surrounded on two sides by the water of the estuary, and the Port Edward main beach is a short stroll or paddle away. It is set in a secure estate with 24 hour guard. For those not wanting to cater for themselves, there is the restaurant in the beautiful Estuary Country Hotel and for those wanting the bright lights, the Wild Coast Sun is only 5 minutes away.

    For golf lovers there is the choice of The Wild Coast Sun or San Lameer Country Club right on your doorstep. For those who love nature there is the Lake Eland game reserve (35 min drive), Oribi Gorge and the Umtamvuna Nature reserve or simply lie back on the edge of the water and listen to the resident fish eagle.

    Directions

    From Durban Take N2 from Durban. Pass Port Shepstone, Margate, Southbroom, Munster and Leisure Bay. The Estuary Sign is 1 km from Port Edward on the left hand side (Sea Side). Do not turn off free way from Durban untill you reach the Estuary Sign Notes Take a right turn at the Estuary Country Hotel turn-off. Then first right. If you miss the first right you will get lost. If you are at the Port Edward traffic lights you have gone too far and need to turn back.
