Swellendam is the third oldest settlement in South Africa situated on the N2, approximately 240 km halfway from both Cape Town and George/Knysna on the Garden Route. Its renowned for its eclectic architecture, fascinating history and great outdoor life. A perfect base from which to explore the Overberg area for a couple of days.

The owners Roy & Marjolein ( from Dutch origin) have an extensive background in the international hotel , travel, events & interior design industry and worked, travelled & lived all over the world for many years in Asia & West Africa. The estate can be booked for several functions, receptions, weddings, top management team building events and conferences which we tailor make to your personal needs & budget.
